The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited (GBTI Ltd) on Wednesday 13th September, 2017 at 15:30 hours at their Corporate Office in Kingston presented Bursary Awards to fifteen (15) lucky members of our Early Savers Club who were successful at the recent National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA).
Education Officer (Mathematics), Mr Ameer Ali, who made the feature address congratulated the students and urged them to continue being ambassadors for the Bank. That they have now started on their journey and that this is the time that they stay focus on their education but also that they should not forget to have fun as well. Mr Ali also commended GBTI for this initiative and noted that the Ministry of Education is pleased to be a part of the bursary award ceremony.
Mr Sean Noel, Senior Manager- GBTI noted that the Bank has always had a long and fruitful relationship with the Ministry of Education and this is testimony to the fact that the Bank holds education in the highest regards. He also said that the Bank has launched its Annual Calendar Art Competition and is encouraging all children to enter to be a part of the GBTI 2018 Calendar.
This year’s awardees included the student who copped the second place performer in the country at the NGSA -Ms Gabriella Roberts.
